Renáta Ardous Global Co-Head of FS Insurance Tax/TP Director

Renáta is currently Global Co-Head of Financial Services (“FS”) Insurance Tax at Mazars. Within this role, her responsibilities include determining the strategic direction of the service offering, developing a shared vision for those involved with FS Insurance Tax and driving marketplace growth alongside global FS tax experts.

Renáta is also a Transfer Pricing Director who leads the London Transfer Pricing team as well as being a member of the Mazars Global Tax Policy team in our London office. Renáta was awarded with the Worshipful Company of Tax Advisers Medal by the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 2013. Renáta also has a LL.M in International and EU tax and an LL.M in Banking and Finance.

Renata has 10 years’ experience in both tax and legal consulting and is a certified Transfer Pricing adviser (CIOT ADIT), with a specific focus on advising MNEs on international taxation and Transfer Pricing issues. Renáta works closely with the European Commission, UN and the OECD on tax policy issues, such as the BEPS Action Plan, in order to develop a new areas for international tax. Within the realm of both tax and transfer pricing, it is considered an era of transformation and thus Renáta takes pride in advising FTSE250 companies on how to review their existing transfer pricing policy and how to face the new challenges presented.

Her deep knowledge within the insurance sector, within private equity funds (including infrastructure and green energy funds), and within consumer and retail sector; allows her to help companies complying with transfer pricing rules, advanced pricing agreements, assisting with controversy management as well as the intercompany transfer of tangible and intangible property, services and loans. Renáta has been involved with providing value chain analysis support and has engaged in assisting global corporations with documentation compliance.

One of her proudest career moments was being one of the founders of the IFA WIN network and still currently sits at the Steering Committee of IFA WIN. The IFA WIN is a global network that now has groups across the globe who benefit from events and networking opportunities designed specifically for women in the profession.

Renáta is very passionate about supporting successful female talents and breaking the glass ceiling for the next generation of leaders. Renáta has been, five times, been named a Woman Leader in Tax in the UK by the International Tax Review which shines light on the women, like Renáta, who are taking strides within their fields and celebrate excellence among the female tax professionals across the globe. The list is based on nominations from peers and clients along with evidence of outstanding success in the past year.
