Deployment of a Mazars Assistance Team for a high-stakes IT project

One of our clients, a group composed of roughly 1,000 legal entities, undertook a project to reorganize its Finance Department using a reliable and effective consolidation tool. The group asked Mazars, which was already advising them on tax matters (fiscal integration, tax documentation, deferred tax reliability), to provide assistance with the migration of their IT system.


Three major challenges were identified for this assignment:

  • Reconstructing a database covering the entire group over two fiscal years,
  • Implementing a filing system to facilitate the audit trail and standardization of entries,
  • Improving the reliability of historical data recovery.


To complete this project, we proposed the following solutions:

  • Introducing three consultants who would be at the consolidation management team's disposal for a period of eight months,
  • Sharing the expertise we have gained from similar projects in order to ensure the use of best practices,
  • Ensuring a timely and smooth execution of the project.
