For over a decade, Mazars has worked with Axens, an international provider of advanced technologies to the energy industry, as a trusted partner providing audit and advisory services, notably on several challenging acquisitions.
Axens is a global supplier of advanced technologies and a subsidiary of the Institut Francais du Petrole, the largest research company in Europe on anything which relates to oil and petroleum. Axens was created in 2001 as a part of the marketing of the IFP technology and also by the merging of several corporations within the group – mostly to develop catalysts and sell catalysts to their licensee. The main scope of their business is focused on the conversion of oil, gas, biomass and coal to fuels and major petrochemical intermediates.
WeiserMazars serves as statutory auditory of Axens and has worked closely with the company to provide tax and financial advice for several acquisitions in Canada, the United States and Mexico.
