Remco Schoonderwoerd Partner | Family business | Transport & Logistics

Contact with people, working with numbers, diversity, challenges and the need for structuring come together in this field. Through summer jobs and internships I have discovered and received confirmation of this. It means that I have been working for more than 20 years in this field.

- HBO Accountancy
- Nivra Accountancy
I have worked with Mazars since 1996. I act as a consultant to medium and large companies that are mostly internationally oriented. It is my job at all times to think as a sparring partner with the entrepreneur, but also from the entrepreneur.
Expertise
In addition, I provide support with a variety of activities, including:
- Valuation issues
- Due diligence investigations
- Benchmarking studies
- Supervision of credit applications and acquisitions
- Restructuring
- Advice and support in resolving disputes
To identify your key issues, I use our unique approach called: Optimize. One of the main parts of this analysis is The Optimize Hub. This online tool gives insight in the total process, which results in a more simplified decision making. Please visit our website for more information about optimize.

Transport & Logistics
As Sector Leader Transport & Logistics, I have specific experience with family businesses, trading companies and companies in the Transport & Logistics sector, such as road transport, freight forwarders, shipping agents, shipping and shipbuilding, warehousing and customs services. In this industry adaptability and flexibility are essential to survive and to be able to respond to the continuous changes. I support clients with developments and help them thinking about how they can respond to these developments. By bringing my knowledge and creativity together into workable solutions, defensible positions and projects realised, I simply go that extra mile for the client. Please visit our website for more information about Transport & Logistics.

Family business
In addition to my experiences in the sector Transport & Logistics, I have much experience with family companies in other sectors. The characteristic about working for family companies, is that next to the attention for the organisation itself, there is much attention for the vision, emotions and relations within the family. Together with our accountants, tax specialists, other consultants and lawyers we strive to identify the key risks and offer and implement solutions to continue the family business and the harmony within the family. Please visit our website for more information about family business.
Additional positions
I love to share my knowledge and experience with colleagues and entrepreneurs. That is why I regularly perform as a speaker at internal and external meetings. Are you looking for a speaker on the issues of transport and logistics companies or family businesses? If so, contact Mazars University, either by calling +31 (0)88 277 12 34 or by e-mailing: university@mazars.nl.
